Westport area activities this weekend

Friday, Feb. 3

What: Beppe Gambetta in concert Where: Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan St., Fall River When: 7 p.m. doors, 8 p.m. concert How much: $23 door, $20 advance Details: Gambetta, from Genova, is known as one of the true innovators of the acoustic guitar.

Saturday, Feb. 4

What: “Connections” opens at gallery Where: Donovan Gallery, 3895 Main Road, Tiverton Four Corners When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday Details: This new exhibit opens Saturday and will run through March. The gallery is also open Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Closed during the week.

What: Food drive, simulated soup kitchen, and homelessness overnight Where: Amicable Congregational Church, 3736 Main Road, Tiverton When: 6 p.m. How much Donations accepted at the door Details: Beginning at 6 p.m., the church will serve soup, salad, beverages, and desserts in the dining room. A town-wide food drive sponsored by the church will also wrap up this Sunday. Bring non-perishable foods to the church, Bank Newport’s Stone Bridge branch, Gray’s Ice Cream, St. Theresa’s Church, St. Christopher’s Church, the town hall, or public libraries. Following the dinner, members of the Amicable and Holy Trinity Youth Group and their chaperones will spend the night outdoors, using refrigerator boxes as temporary shelter. The youth seek sponsors for the overnight, with proceeds going to Crossroads Rhode Island, a daily drop-in shelter for Rhode Island’s homeless. What: Pat McGee in concert Where: Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan St., Fall River When: 7 p.m. doors, 8 p.m. concert How much: $20 door, $18 advance Details: The singer-songwriter and guitarist from Annandale, Va., is the founding member and frontman of the Pat McGee band.

Sunday, Feb. 5

What: Pre-Super Bowl Long Walk Where: Slocum’s River Reserve, Horseneck Road, Dartmouth When: Noon to 3 p.m. How much Free, suggested $10 donation per car Details: Join the Trustees of Reservations on this 5.5 mile hike crossing conservation and privately-owned land. It will end at Westport Rivers Winery for a wine tasting followed by a bus ride back to your car. The winery will be open for tastings at an additional charge.
