— On Saturday Feb. 4, East Providence High School will host Orlo Avenue Elementary School’s “Extreme Family Day.”

The event is set to feature a performance by hometown boy Kevin Robinson. Mr. Robinson is a 5-time X Games gold medalist, world record holder, motivational speaker and president of the non-profit K-Rob Foundation.

The afternoon will also see some tricks from Mike Steidly, a pro mountain bike trials and stunt rider. Mr. Steidley’s accolades include multiple Trials National Championships and seven appearances representing the USA in World Championships, along with a wide array of television appearances. His Mountain Bike Stunt Show has been performed in 23 different countries.

On top of this, the Orlo Avenue Elementary School Chorus will sing a few tunes during intermission.

All funds raised from the day will go towards the second and third phases of “Operation Orlo,” a community-lead push to bring the school new playground equipment.

The Extreme Family Day event will go from 12-4. Tickets are $3 per person and can be purchased at the door.
