Local sextets vie in Coastal Cup
The 11th Annual Coastal Cup Hockey Tournament will be held Monday, Dec. 19 at Portsmouth Abbey Rink. Four area high school squads will square off in the event which has been won by Portsmouth in each of the first 10 years. The first game, which starts at 6 p.m., pits Middletown against Mt. Hope. Portsmouth will take on the Rogers co-op squad at 7:30 p.m. The winners of the games will play for the championship Monday, Jan. 2, at 7:30 p.m. A consolation game between the two losing teams will take place at 6 p.m. prior to the title tilt. Admission is $5.
