William J. Jackson, 82, Little Compton

William J. Jackson, 82, of Little Compton, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Betsy J. (Hagen) Jackson. They were married for 55 years.

Mr. Jackson was born in Concord, Mass., a son of the late George and Genevieve (Bobka) Jackson.

For most of his life, Mr. Jackson did auto body work. He loved his garden and camping at Plum Island. He also belonged to a fishing club and had many lasting friendships. Mr. Jackson cherished every day he spent with his wife as they did everything together.

Besides his wife, he leaves a brother, George and his wife Judy Jackson of Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jackson would like to than the Police Department, Fire Department and the EMTs of Little Compton for all of their help and dedication.

Funeral arrangements are by Fern Acres Funeral Home of Little Compton.
