TIVERTON — Tiverton School Superintendent William J. Rearick announced that the assistant principal at Tiverton Middle School died unexpectedly this morning. He made the announcement in an email to parents and the school community:

Good Afternoon

I have some extremely difficult news to share with you. Long-time Assistant Principal at the Tiverton Middle School, Mr. David Frerichs, passed away unexpectedly this morning. The Tiverton School Department has lost a member of its family and a good friend. David's passing comes as a shock to everyone who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to David's family.

The Tiverton School Department will communicate all information regarding services in remembrance of Mr. Frerichs as they become available.

Sincerely,

William J. Rearick
