PORTSMOUTH — After honoring their late friend Connor Peckham and celebrating its older plays for senior night, the Patriots unified basketball team got down to business versus Tiverton on Wednesday.

Portsmouth put on a clinic in its last home game of the season, with Chris Sherwood and Henry Banks draining several 3s apiece and Jack Ross scoring several times from mid-range. 

The Patriots also demonstrated its strength inside, with Zach Pierce dominating the boards.

Portsmouth led at halftime 33-20 and got stronger as the game went on, winning in decisive fashion, 52-30.

Tiverton, bolstered by a strong turnout of fans who traveled to the game, enjoyed some highlights of their own. One of them came In the first half, when Jessica Sartini knocked one in from under the rim to thunderous applause.

Next up

Portsmouth will play its last two regular season games on the road, both at 3:30 p.m.:

• at Mt. Hope on Wednesday, April 10

• at East Providence on Wednesday, April 24

Tiverton, meanwhile, will finish up at home:

• 3:30 p.m. against Rogers on Wednesday, April 10

• 1 p.m. against Mt. Hope on Wednesday, April 24
