The Warren Housing Authority is pleased to announce that it will distribute pre-applications for its Section 8 Waiting List for one day only on:

Friday, November 16, 2012
From 9:00AM to 1:00 PM
Pre-Applications may be obtained at

20 Libby Lane
Warren, Rhode Island 02885

Applicants will be ranked on the waiting list according to Warren residence, applicants who work in Warren, Veteran’s Preference (service connected) and date and time of application. To be determined eligible for admission and placed on the waiting list, applicants must meet the following maximum income limits for your size household:

Any applicant who has a physical/mobility/sensory/impairment that could prevent them from obtaining an application on November 16, 2012, must contact the Warren Housing Authority at 245-7019 prior to that date and special arrangements will be made.

Pre-applications must be completed and returned by mail no later than November 30, 2012. Incomplete, faxed or email pre-applications will not be accepted. The Warren Housing Authority will not be responsible for mail delays or lost mail. No pre-applications will be accepted prior to November 16, 2012.

All applicants are hereby made aware that the Warren Housing Authority will not; on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, creed, national or ethnic origin, age, family or marital status, handicap or disability, deny any family or individual the opportunity to apply for, or receive assistance under HUD’s Section 8 Housing programs.

  1. Try to give it to people who actually need it this time ok ? When was the last time you actually reviewed your applicants living or income situatons and actually did something about it ? Such blatant abuse of this “perk” on the hardworking taxpayers dime is obvious in every neighborhood on the North side of Warren yet absolutely nothing gets done about it….free rent, food, cell phones, medical & heat…but yet perfectly capable of working or they have an income coming in from the people who aren’t supposed to be living there !!!
