TOWN OF BRISTOL PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 2012-06

AMENDMENT OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF BRISTOL REGARDING PARKING RESTRICTIONS

IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Bristol, Rhode Island, that Chapter 16 of the Town Code be amended as follows:

Chapter 16 MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC

Article V. Stopping, Standing and Parking

Sec. 16-146. Parking time limited in des- ignated places.

Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., unless specified otherwise, except Sundays and legal holidays, it shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to park the same for any one consecutive period of time longer than specified, with- in or upon any of the following areas, dis- tricts or streets or parts thereof:

(5) Two hours:

*** Hope Street, west side, from Thames

Franklin Street to Constitution Street.

This ordinance shall take place upon its passage.

The Town Council will be in session in the Town Hall, Council Chambers, on October 24, 2012. If remonstrance in the meantime, a petition bearing the valid sig- natures of at least twenty (20) qualified voters must be filed with the Town Clerk requesting a Public Hearing, such hear- ing must be held before final action may be taken on said ordinance.
