TOWN OF PORTSMOUTH
PART-TIME RECYCLING COORDINATOR

This newly created position is necessary to carry out the outreach and education activities to ensure improvements in the recycling rate for the Town of Portsmouth. This position is responsible for promoting the recycling program and conducting recycling education and outreach and will work under the general direction and supervision of the Town Administrator.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or GED certificate, possess a valid Driver’s License and successfully pass a background investigation. Applicants must have the physical ability to walk around the Transfer Station to inspect recycling containers to ensure compliance with the recycling program.

Applications are available in the Finance/Personnel Office, Town Hall, 2200 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871 and on the Town’s website: www.portsmouthri.com. Completed applications will only be accepted in the Finance/Personnel office Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Facsimiles will not be accepted. No applications will be accepted after 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013.
