REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
2013 – 2014
The City of East Providence is currently soliciting proposals for the use of 2013-2014 Community Development Block Grant funds estimated at $620,175. These funds will be available for programming during the fiscal year July1, 2013 – June 30, 2014. A high priority will be given to activities that promote economic development. Other funding categories include public facilities, affordable housing, and human services.
Applications and technical assistance are available by calling David Bachrach at 401.435.7536, mailing a request to: City of East Providence, Community Development Division, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914, or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. All proposals must be emailed to David Bachrach on the Application for Funding Form as a word document, no later than the Application Deadline of March 29, 2013 by 4:00 p.m. Please contact this office if this submittal process presents a significant burden.
As a part of the planning process for the use of these funds, the City will hold a Public Hearing for residents, City Council, agencies, profit and non profit interests, community groups, etc. to provide comment and input on the various ways the CDBG funds could be used. The CD Coordinator will be available to answer any questions, provide an overview of past projects, and explain the basic parameters of the program.
