TOWN OF BRISTOL PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 2013-04

AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 16-146 OF THE BRISTOL TOWN CODE STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING; OLD FERRY ROAD

IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the Town Council of Bristol, Rhode Island, that Chapter 16 of the Town Code be amend- ed as follows:

CHAPTER 16 – MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC

ARTICLE V. – STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING

***

Sec. 16-146. – Parking time limited in des- ignated places.

*** (5.5)Three hours:(Applicable 24 hours

per day, 7 days per week):

Old Ferry Road, east side, area between

the north end of the seawall and a point 20 feet south of utility pole 52-1.

Old Ferry Road, east side, from 100 feet

south of the RWU one-way exit (at Utility

Pole #55-84) to 170 feet south of the

RWU one-way exit. Old Ferry Road, east side, from 165 feet

north of the RWU one-way exit to 240 feet

north of the RWU one-way exit (at Utility

Pole #52-1). Old Ferry Road, east side, 270 feet north

of the RWU one-way exit (at 30 feet north

of Utility Pole #52-1) to 375 feet north of

the RWU one-way exit. Old Ferry Road, east side, 665 feet north

of the RWU one-way exit to 715 feet north

of the RWU one-way exit. Old Ferry

Road, east side, 765 feet north of the

RWU one-way exit to 885 feet north of the

RWU one-way exit. ***

This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.

The Town Council will be in session in the Town Hall, Council Chambers on March 6, 2013. If remonstrance in the mean- time, a petition bearing the valid signa- tures of at least twenty (20) qualified vot- ers must be filed with the Town Clerk requesting a Public Hearing, such hear- ing must be held before final action may be taken on said ordinance.
