Sealed bids will be received until 12 noon on January 23, 2013, for furnishing the Town of Bristol with the following: SITE WORK BRISTOL ANIMAL SHELTER BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT 12 NOON AT THE BRISTOL TOWN HALL, 10 COURT STREET ON JANUARY 23, 2013 FOR THE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING OF JANUARY 23, 2013. The Town of Bristol is seeking bids for the site work portion of the new Bristol Animal Shelter to be constructed at Minturn Farm Road, Bristol, RI. Specifications and plans may be obtained and bids MUST be filed at the Office of the Town Clerk, 10 Court Street, Bristol, RI 02809. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside with the bidder/company name and in the lower left corner, “Bid NO. 774, SITE WORK – BRISTOL ANIMAL SHELTER, January 23, 2013.” Bids will be opened at 12 noon at the Bristol Town Hall, 10 Court Street on January 23, 2013. Successful bidders must furnish a performance bond on 100 percent of the proposed contract within 10 days after the award. The Town reserves all rights to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, or to go on the open market when is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All proposals are subject to the provisions of Chapter 13 of Title 37 of the RI General Laws as amended, including but not limited to those provisions relative to prevailing wages as applicable. A mandatory pre-bid conference, to include a site visit of the property, will be held at 10:00 o’clock AM on Friday, January 18, 2013 in the Town Hall, Conference Room, 10 Court Street, Bristol, Rhode Island 02809.
