You won’t believe what happened at the Pires lemonade stand

lemonadeRyan and Brian Pires, 13, are first cousins who decided to make a few extra bucks by opening a lemonade stand at the corner of Narrows Road and Coggeshall Avenue in Bristol Monday evening. Business was slow but steady, and by 6 p.m. they’d made $7. They were mixing up a new batch and talking to a reporter when a crazy thing happened: A small silver sedan zipped up Narrows Road, and the driver threw a handful of change (mostly pennies and nickels, unfortunately) out the window at them without slowing down. Ryan and Brian watched the car speed off up Narrows before stooping over to pick up the change.

If you’re thirsty for some lemonade (50 cents for a small, $1 for a really large cup) stop and see them this week. Be sure to pull over and say hi.
