The Parenting Support Group will meet this Sunday, May 18 at 6:00 PM in the Tildsley building at St. Michael’s Church, 399 Hope Street in Bristo. This group is an opportunity for parents of preschool and school age children to discuss the challenges they encounter in raising children today. In the past, the group has discussed oppositional behavior, sensory issues and special needs, helping children to build independence and other concerns that parents bring. The group is facilitated by a mental health professional and all discussion is treated as confidential. All parents are welcome–single and partnered, traditional and non-traditional and parents in blended families. There is no charge for the group but participants are encouraged to bring a donation of a non-perishable food or personal hygiene item for the Bristol Good Neighbors pantry. Childcare is available but parents planning to bring children must call Jennifer DeWolf at 935-3359 by Friday to let her know how many children will be att ending and their ages.
