Bristol came through for food pantry
Article Tools

To the editor:

The First Congregational Church warmly thanks the Town of Bristol for their support as we seek to establish a large new food pantry to serve our community and the East Bay. The town has donated the shelving previously used in the temporary library space. This gift will be well used on behalf of those in our community struggling with their monthly grocery budgets.

A very special word of thanks to Diane Mederos, Diane Williamson, Kathy Bazinet and Walter Burke. They, along with Rep. Patrick Kennedy and Senators Reed and Whitehouse, have worked very hard on our behalf to find a suitable site for our food pantry.

In these challenging economic times it is truly a blessing when we work together for the betterment of our community and those we are called to care for and serve.
