Carol Ann (Furtado) Carvara, 56, of Overland Park, Kan. and formerly of Asylum Road, Warren, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, Kan. She was the wife of Peter J. Carvara.

Born in Fall River and raised in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Rita (Andrade) Furtado. A homemaker, she resided in Kansas for 10 years, previously residing in Warren. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church in Bristol.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Peter J. Carvara Jr. and his wife Nancy of Warren; a daughter, Lisa Marie Carvara of Overland Park; two sisters, Anita Bloomer and Elizabeth Pepere, and a brother, John Furtado, all of Bristol.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 13, from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation is Saturday at 9 a.m.
