The Interact Club at Barrington High School in conjunction with the Barrington/Warren Rotary Club recently held a fund-raising dinner and raised more than $3,000 to benefit Haiti.

Tom Wallis remembers when his parents, Russell and Louise Wallis, first opened Wallis Seafood in a small store near the corner of Bay Spring Avenue and Washington Road. “They started in pretty tiny quarters with $500 and a used pick-up truck,” he said. That was 50 years ago.

Three weeks ago the Nayatt School community welcomed Joseph A. Militello, the second interim principal at the elementary school this academic year. Mr. Militello replaced John Gray who acted as interim principal for the first semester.

A grandfather, son and grandson, all wearing a scout uniform of some kind, were at the pinewood derby held in the cafeteria of Barrington Middle School. Thirty-three cub scouts in Pack 2, West Barrington, raced their pinewood derby cars. Among the scouts was nine year old Jamie Boylan.
