Erin McHugh, author of “One Good Deed,” will read and sign copies of her book. Come hear some adventures from the book that Publishers Weekly has called “an inspirational, witty journey of one woman’s attempt to do one good deed a day for an entire year.” Mr. McHugh’s book chronicles a year when she tried to reclaim the better part of herself, with the hope of inspiring others to do the same.

Open House celebration for Families First RI @ Trinity Church Parish House
The boil features steamers, buckies, sausage, onions and potatoes. An Italian spaghetti platter with lobster sauce will be served while the clam boil is cooking. Reservations must be made in advance.
Join in this day-long celebration of Watchemoket Square’s past, present and future. A parade opens the event beginning at East Providence City Hall and there will also be walking tours, a car show, fun activities for kids and adults throughout the day. The annual church bazaar at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 81 Warren Ave., is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Memorial Baptist Church of Seekonk will be holding a CPR class on Saturday, October 13, at 9:30 a.m.
This is unique opportunity for anyone interested in learning this life saving technique.The instructor is approved by the American Heart Association and is an individual who has benefited from having this technique used on him as well.
The very modest fee of $10 will be charged for the training. If an individual needs a certification card from the American Heart Association there will be a $5 charge also.
