    1. “A Perfect Pumpkin Party” @ Audubon Environmental Education Center
      10:00 am – 4:00 pm

      Ever try to bowl with a pumpkin? How about making a rolling pumpkin art masterpiece? Get your chance Saturday at the Audubon, which is hosting a “Perfect Pumpkin Party.” It will feature fun activities like pumpkin stamping, rolling pumpkin art, pumpkin ring toss, pumpkin bowling and more. Dress for a mess!

    2. Matty’s Pumpkin Festival – Southern RI @ The Farmer's Daughter

      The Discovering My Epilepsy Family Support Group “Matty’s Pumpkin Festival – Southern RI” Farmer’s Daughter,716   Mooresfield Rd.(Route 138),South Kingstown,RI

      A fun fall gathering for children touched by epilepsy and their families. Pumpkin painting, face painting, games, snacks and activities.  A free event, sponsored by The Matty Fund Epilepsy Resource Center.  Advance registration required.     3. Fall Festival of Children’s Books Authors & Illustrators @ Barrington Books
      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      Newbery Honor-winner Grace Lin (“Where the Mountain Meets the Moon,” “Starry River of the Sky”) will be among the authors at this fourth annual event hosted by Barrington Books. The festival will feature an all-star lineup of award-winning children’s book authors that also includes Mary Jane Begin, Peter Mandel, Eileen Rosenthal, Patty Bowman and co-authors Carol Liu and Marybeth Caldarone. There will be readings at noon, followed by a question-and-answer session and a group book signing.

    4. Jon Campbell in Concert @ Sandywoods Center for the Arts
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Jon Campbell’s music and spoken-word pieces are an aural documentary of New England coastal life. Sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, his songs and poems firmly place the listener in that place where the land and sea collide.

    5. AcquAria in Concert @ Common Fence Point Community Hall
      8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      AcquAria (Vincenzo Castellana and Michela Musolino) will present “Sempri amMari, Traditional Sicilian Songs of the Sea.” Ms. Musolino, a vocalist known for her performances of Sicilian roots music, and Mr. Castellana, a noted percussionist of the Sicilian drumming tradition, have created a work of song, percussion and recitations which illustrates the intimate connection between Sicily, her history and the surrounding sea.

    1. Outside Marketplace, Chainsaw Carving, and More at Warren’s annual “Walkabout” @ Farmstead Mercantile
      12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Local vendors and artists will be selling at an outside marketplace at new retail shop Farmstead Mercantile. Local artist Richard Kaiser will be doing a chainsaw sculpture on the front lawn. The outside marketplace will feature original and limited edition art, vintage wares, antiques, and more.

      The Warren Walkabout is a town wide event that features artist open studios, shopping, the Taste of Warren, and more.  Located on the event’s trolley route, Farmstead offers ample parking thanks to neighboring businesses Rissco Fabrication, New England Kitchen and Bath Center, and Zangari Eyecare.

    2. Pianist Andrius Zlabys in Concert @ Westport Point United Methodist Church
      3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Concerts at the Point presents renowned pianist Andrius Zlabys, who will be joined by violinist Yaira Matyakobova and cellist Alex Green. The program will include solo piano performance of J.S. Bach’s French Suite No. 2 in C minor; Mendellsohn Trio No. 2, Op 66 in C minor; an original composition by Mr. Zlabys for violin and piano; and the Franck Trio No. 1, Op 1 in F sharp minor.     3. Parenting Support Group @ St. Michael's Church
      6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Parenting Support Group will meet Sunday, October 21 at 6 PM in the Tildsley Building, St. Michael’s Church, 399 Hope Street, Bristol.  This is an opportunity for parents of school age children to discuss the everyday challenges they encounter in raising children today including helping children  make responsible decisions, building confidence, oppositional behavior, making friends and other topics of concerns that parents bring.  The group is facilitated by a trained mental health professional with experience in child and family issues, and is conducted in a safe, confidential forum.   The group meets on the third Sunday of the month and is open to all parents, single and partnered, traditional and non-traditional, and parents in blended family situations.  There is no charge but participants are invited to bring a non-perishable food item for the Bristol Good Neighbors Soup Kitchen or a paper good for the East Bay Food Pantry.  Childcare is available with a reservation by Friday by contacting Jennifer DeWolf at (401)935-3359 or jenmarkdewolf@aol.com

Child care is available but parents must call Jennifer DeWolf at 401/935-3359 by the Friday before the meeting to let her know how many children will attend and their ages. The support group is free, although donations of non-perishable food for the Bristol Good Neighbors Soup Kitchen or paper goods for the East Bay Food Pantry are welcome
