Ride the free trolley, visit more than 20 galleries and take a rare peek inside artists’ studios to see how creative works come to life. ART Night is a partnership between the Warren Arts Initiative and Bristol Independent Galleries and runs on the last Thursday of every month from March through November.

Halsey C. Herreshoff discusses Capt. Nathanael Greene Herreshoff’s method of design from deciding the proportions of the yacht, to the carving of the half hull, to the tools that used and invented. Wine/Beer Festival and East Bay Pizza Challenge @ Linden Place ballroom
The Bristol County Lions Club hosts this 16th annual benefiting the Ronald McDonald House, Cancer and Children, R.I. Food Bank and local food pantries, Sight Foundation, eyeglasses and exams, holiday food baskets and Adopt a Family programs at Christmas and other local charities. The evening includes wine and beer sampling from the Coastal Wine Trail and the Rhode Island Wine Trail, local wine distributors and brewers from Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Pizza Challenge will include pizzerias from around the East Bay, with prizes from six categories determined by the guests.

Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church @ St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
Join Christopher Fletcher, the caretaker and local arborist from Bartlett Tree Experts, and his father, Dr. Paul Francis Fletcher, a local historian and professor of English literature, for a walking tour where they banter about the rogues, royalty and refuge within the gentle rolling paths of this national landmark. The family plots of Colts, DeWolfs, Herreshoffs, Ushers, Perrys and others lie under the large weeping limbs of beech trees and among native stands of oak and red maple and special plantings. Hosted by The Bristol Historical and Preservation Society, the tour will be canceled only in the case of heavy rain.

Melville School Fall Festival @ Melville Elementary School
Annual festival will feature activities for children including crafts, games with prizes, face-painting, cake walk, children’s raffle, inflatables, princess story time and a Harry Potter-themed creepy classroom constructed by the schools’ third-graders. There will also be a silent auction, baskets to be raffled off, a 50/50 raffle, bake sale and lunch selections. The event raises funds for the Melville School Parent Teacher Group to support efforts to provide enrichment activities and teaching tools for students.
