    1. “An Inspector Calls” A 2nd Story Theatre Performance to Benefit Mosaico @ Bristol Statehouse
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      An Inspector Calls is a “Part mystery, part morality play, part drawing-room drama, JB
      Priestley’s play is an entertaining and engaging nail-biter that has
      one of the most out-of-the-blue surprise endings ever written.”

      This play put on by 2nd Story Theatre is a special performance to benefit Mosaico, a non-profit organization in Bristol, RI.

      All proceeds are benefitting Mosaico’s youth education programs, Mentoring, YES! and Sense of Pride.

      There is a pre-performance reception at 7:00 p.m. and the performance beginning at 8:00 p.m.

    3. Annual Used Book Sale @ Senior Center behind the Barrington Public Library
      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Friends of the Barrington Public Library hosts this annual sale featuring thousands of books and audio/visual materials for all ages, including fiction, non-fiction, out-of-print titles and collectibles. All proceeds go to the library.

    4. Barrington art show

      Art show to open at Habonim

      BARRINGTON – Temple Habonim will unveil its second art show by members on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. The show, which features the photography of Heather MacLeod, Giacomo Fortunato, and watercolors by Jean Patiky, will continue through December.

      Author and attorney John Barylick will host a slide talk for his new book, “Killer Show: The Station Nightclub Fire, America’s Deadliest Rock Concert,” which chronicles the 100-fatality tragedy from human, scientific and legal standpoints.     1. EPLAC Hosts Free Workshop on RI Special Education Law @ Edward R. Martin Middle School Library
      6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Do you have questions about RI Special Education law?

      Get answers from Attorney David A. Kane, Esq., JD

       This free workshop is being hosted by the East Providence Parent Advisory Committee on Special Education.  David Kane is an expert in education and disability law and currently is Vice President, Regional Resource Center & Consultant Group at Sargent Center. His background includes Founder and Director of the “Rhode Island Center for Education and Policy” and Chief Policy Analyst, Legal Interagency Coordinator Rhode Island Department of Education and Rhode island Technical Assistance Project.  

      The workshop will start with a basic overview of the IEP process, Section 504, Extended School Year (ESY) and differentiated instruction and then have a question and answer period.  Come get a better understanding of special education law to effectively advocate for your child’s needs.
