The Choir of Trinity Church, along with a Baroque orchestra comprised of New England’s foremost early music specialists, will present J.S. Bach’s beloved Cantata Nun Komm der Heiden Heiland, BWV 61. The community is also invited to the weekly Trinity Forum at 9 a.m., when the Rev. Canon Anne Marie Richards and Music Director Brent Erstad will address the theology, performance practices and history of cantatas in Bach’s Germany.

This 19th annual event will feature dozens of theme-decorated trees and other items that are available to win. All proceeds will be used for scholarship for local students, administered by Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Little Compton. Food at the Tree Spree may be purchased from the Village Improvement Society, which supports and maintains the historic Brownell House. Island Moving Company’s Mini-Nutcracker is a delightful abbreviated version of the holiday classic “The Nutcracker,” designed to introduce young children to the magic of this family favorite.
