    1. Barrington Veterinary Clinic’s Annual Food Drive to benefit the hungry (all-day) @ Barrington Veterinary Clinic
      Dec 12 – Jan 3

      The Barrington Veterinary Clinic is conducting their annual food drive all this month.  Bring by your non-perishable food item donation and receive a free nail trim or nail painting for your pet.   According to the RI Food Bank, the number of Rhode Islanders seeking food assistance is at an all time high.   Any donation you give can  make a difference.  You can drop off your donation in advance Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm ( Saturday 9am to 1pm) or bring it with you to your appointment.  Call us today at 401-245-9226 to schedule your free appointment and help us feed the hungry this holiday season!   Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and happy holidays!

    2. The Very Merry Dickens Carolers @ Weaver Library
      6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Looking for a “holly-jolly” concert for the whole family? The Very Merry Dickens Carolers are professional singers who love the music of the season and enjoy bringing its festive sounds to audiences. Dressed in Victorian costumes, the carolers sing in rich four-part a cappella harmony.

    3. Barrington High School Winter Choral Concert @ Barrington High School
      7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

      Barrington High School Music Department presents its winter choral concert featuring the Concert Choir, Choral Ensemble, and several special guests.  Guests can also participate in a poinsettia sale, and a 50/50 raffle which includes tickets to the PPAC performance of War Horse in June, 2013,

    4. Roger Williams University Chorus Concert @ Roger Williams Performing Arts Center
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The chorus presents a varied concert of choral repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony through contemporary works. A highlight will be a set of works from the modern gospel tradition.

    5. RWU Music Series: Chorus Winter Concert @ RWU Performing Arts Center
      7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      The RWU Chorus will present a varied concert of choral repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony through contemporary works. One highlight of the concert will be a set of works from the modern gospel tradition. The performance will also feature works that celebrate the holiday season. The RWU Chorus is an ensemble of approximately 35 singers from the RWU community directed by Jonathan Richter.

    3. Book Signing with Sebastian Cole @ Barrington Books

      Debut author Sebastian Cole will sign copies of “Sand Dollar: A Story of Undying Love,” which reflects his love for boating on Narragansett Bay. Mr. Cole is a native Rhode Islander and graduate of Brown University.

      This 2006 film is a modern-day musical about a busker and an immigrant and their eventful week in Dublin as they write, rehearse and record songs that tell their love story. It’s being presented as part of the library’s “Indie Flicks You Never Saw But Wished You Did (Or Just Want to See Again!)” film series.
