Richard Francis Rielly, 79, passed away on June 8 at Warren Skilled Nursing Center. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James “Jim” Doran Rielly and Adeleen (D’Amore) Rielly.

Mr. Rielly retired after 22 years of service in the Air Force and was a proud Vietnam veteran. He then was employed by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation as an accounting payroll manager for over 20 years before retiring.

He spent most of his life traveling the world, loved fishing and spending time on Prudence Island. He always lit up a room with his smile and never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his children, Christina Beall and her husband Christopher of Austin, Texas, Nicole Rielly of Los Angeles, Calif., Danielle Gibson and her husband Brian of Houston, Texas, and grandchildren Landen Beall, Chloe Bales, Audrey Butler, Jacob Rielly, Vaughn Gibson and Beau Gibson.

He was the brother of Lee Ann Sylvia of Bristol, Jane Sperling of Warren, James V. Rielly of Warren and Patricia Smoot of Virginia Beach, Va. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald P. Rielly of Bristol.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Arrangements are by the George C. Lima Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Rick’s favorite charity: The Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517
