BRISTOL — The inaugural Porch Music Fest drew a few hundred people to the south end of High Street Sunday afternoon as music-lovers strolled from house to house to hear four different bands perform.

Local music educator Bob Arsenault came up with the idea for the festival, which is patterned after similar events that had sprung up around the country since 2007. Arts in Common, which works to bring more arts and cultural programs to Bristol, then got behind the idea.

The free, family-friendly event ran from 4-6 p.m. at 118, 85 and 42 High St., and 30 Walley St. Performing were Sinner’s Pie, Dukes of Dixie, Tyler & Ryan and Los Duderinos.
