Mt. Hope advances to state championship game on Sunday

The Mt. Hope boys' basketball team advanced to the Division 3 state championship game by defeating Ponaganset 70-65 in a Friday night game played at Johnston High School.

Seniors Cam Santerre and Darius Costa and juniors Jalen Kopecky and Jaden Siembab led the Huskies to the victory. The Huskies play for the state title on Sunday at CCRI-Warwick against Toll Gate, which advanced with a  46-43 victory over Lincoln.
