Letter: See all Rogers Library has to offer (on a Sunday)

Posted

If you haven’t visited the Rogers Free Library on a Sunday afternoon yet, there is still time. Sunday openings continue through the month of May. The pilot project has demonstrated that Bristolians appreciate having library access on Sundays. Overwhelmingly, comments have praised the initiative. A total of 610 people have come through the doors over a period of five Sundays (and that includes Palm Sunday).

The library Trustees (supported by funding from the Friends of the Rogers Free Library) have endeavored to offer special programs on Sundays. The upcoming program for April 15 is Senior Medical Patrol, which will focus on Medicare Fraud and Abuse. This program “empowers and assists Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers, to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse.” The program is designed for people 56 and over.

Upcoming programs include Cyber Security, Drones, Henna for Teens.

No registration is necessary for these programs, so drop by. On April 29, enjoy performances given by students in the Community Strings Program.

Bring your family and friends and investigate all that the Rogers Free Library has to offer. You may be surprised!
