Joyce M. Kinsella, 70, of Bristol

Joyce M. (DiMauro) Kinsella, 70, of Bristol, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at home.

She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Edward Kinsella. 

Joyce was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Rose (Ferreira) DiMauro. Larry was the well known owner of Larry’s Sunoco in Warren for many years.

A lifelong Bristol resident, Joyce was a graduate of Rhode Island College, with a master’s degree in Education. She was a teacher and later principal with the Bristol School Department, before retiring 20 years ago. Joyce was later a member of the School Committee and finally a Realtor for the last 15 years.

She is survived by her son, Richard L. Kinsella of Bristol, and her brother, Lawrence J. DiMauro, Jr. of Warren.

“Giga” (as she was lovingly referred to) was the grandmother of Farah May Kinsella and Richard M. “Little Ricky” Kinsella, as well as the aunt of Holly Rose DiMauro.

Her funeral will be held Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at 8 a.m., from the SMITH FUNERAL AND MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Monday morning from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
