Gerald J. Christoun, 91, of Bristol, died Thursday, April 13,2018 at home. He was the husband of Lorriane (Alves) Christoun.

Mr. Christoun was born in Lowell, MA, a son of Francis and Eileen (Powers) Christoun.

Gerald was a United States Navy veteran, serving during WWII as a Seaman First Class.

He was the Shipping and Receiving Manager for over 36 years for Raytheon Manufacturing, before retiring. A Bristol resident for over 35 years, coming from Goat Island and previously Taunton.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Frank Christoun of East Freetown Ma; a stepson, Joseph DeMoura of Bristol; a daughter, Laurie Henault of Taunton, MA, a stepdaughter, Diane Sousa of Bristol. He was the grandfather of 2 and step grandfather of 3 also the great grandfather of 3 and the step great grandfather of 1.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gerald was the father of the late Lynn Zuromski, and the brother of the late Fran Christoun.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:30 at Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren RI. Burial with Military Honors will be at 11:30 am in the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 10:30am.
