Ellsworth: Your tax dollars are not being spent wisely in schools

Teachers are not provided adequate teaching materials (textbooks, workbooks, interactive technology and color copy/printing capabilities) which are directly impacting our children’s educational success.

Your tax dollars are spent on a multitude of programs that get eliminated before we even know if they’re making a difference. We must focus on our children’s needs and provide teachers with the RIGHT resources. Don’t you want to know why our present school committee voted to give our administration a bonus when our children aren’t given the tools they need in their classrooms?

As parents and taxpayers, we need to put our children first. Let’s find a balance between our children’s educational success and spending taxpayers’ money responsibly.

Together we can bring balance to Bristol.

Sheila Ellsworth

Ms. Ellsworth is a candidate for Bristol Warren School Committee.
