Elaine F. (Patton) Congdon, 90, of Clifton Manor, Somerset, MA, died peacefully on September 24th. Long-time resident of Barrington and Bristol, she was the wife of the late Harold C. (Buddy) Congdon and daughter of the late W. George & Grace E. (Green) Patton.

Elaine graduated from Warren High School and worked for many years as a stenographer for The Grinnell Company in Providence, RI.  She served as an organist for several years in area churches and played the piano for the Kickemuit Grange and local senior centers. Elaine was an avid bird lover and a lover of nature and animals.

The sister of the late Arthur Patton, Russell Patton, Daisy Patton, Avis Jordan, Lula Vitecha and Beatrice Contois, she also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Burial will be private. See www.wjsmithfh.com.
