Conceicao M. Botelho of Bristol

Conceicao (Connie) M. Botelho of Verdi Lane passed away on Jan. 8, 2019, at home. She was the wife of Manuel Botelho.

Born in Fenais de Ajuda, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Alberto and Herminia (Melo)Ferreira. In addition to her husband Manuel, she is survived by her children, Daniel (Heidi) Botelho of West Warwick, Susan (Chris) Ciosek of Swansea, Allison (Megan) Chambers of West Warwick, and Alexandra Botelho (Justin Titsworth) of Bristol, and granddaughter Rosalin Ciosek of Swansea.

She was the sister of Jose (Mary) Ferreira of Bristol, Manuel (Angelina) Ferreira of Riverside, John (Chris) Ferreira of Somerset, Armando (Emeralinda) Ferreira of Bristol, Filomena (Robert) Barros of Ocoee, Fla., Margarida (Joao) Andrade of Bristol, Maria de Jesus Ferreira of East Providence, Isabel Ferreira of Seekonk, Mass., Ann Marie (Peter) Martens of Milton, Mass., Eduarda (Manuel) Tavares of Lincoln, Victoria (Jose) Cordoso of Warwick and Helena (Steven) Dowling of Naples, Fla. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Mrs. Botelho was employed by RISD for 25 years and retired in 2012.

Her funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at 8 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
