The Bristol Police Department will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s, 16th National Take Back Day. It will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Bristol Police Department has been designated as a drop off location for any unused or expired prescription medications. The DEA does not accept liquids or sharps during these events.
The last DEA Take Back event was held April 28. During that event, Rhode Island collected 3,342 pounds of expired or unused prescription medication at 33 collection locations throughout the state.
