Benn: Why do I want to run? To represent you

Posted

I will fight for a budget that is fiscally responsible to our taxpayers. I will advocate for students to get the programs they need they to be both college and career ready (effective special education programs, Career Technical Education programs, etc.)

I will ensure that teachers get the resources they need to improve student achievement. I will hold administrators accountable for providing for the health and safety of students and teachers in their buildings (bullying and health issues need to be addressed).

I will ensure ethical standards are maintained regarding all school district actions, including personal decisions.  I will make sure Bristol residents’ voices are heard and concerns considered on all issues: the school calendar, budget, health/safety issues, etc.

I’m a results oriented leader and team player.  I understand school reform initiatives, RIDE regulations, and educational best practices.

Andrew Benn

Mr. Benn is a candidate for Bristol Warren school committee.
