Adeline Elizabeth (Zarrella) Riccio, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., passed away on March 9, 2019.

She was the wife of the late Joseph G. A. Riccio (Sr.). She leaves two sons, J. Arthur Riccio and his wife, Toni Lea, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Joseph G. A. Riccio, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen Wilson, of Gulf Breeze, Fla. She was also the grandmother of five; the great-grandmother of seven; and aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Born in Providence, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Teresa (D’Andrea) Zarrella. She was the sister of Catherine Ferri, Raymond Zarrella, the late Mary Mastrangelo, and the late Vincent, Joseph and Thomas Zarrella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal prayer service, Friday, March 22, 2019, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
