Victor 'Vic' Teixeira, 90, of Barrington

Victor “Vic” Teixeira, 90, of Josal Drive, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 6, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy M. (Giardini) Teixeira. 

Born in Bristol, a son of the late Manoel and Angelina (Camera) Teixeira, he lived in Barrington for 68 years. 

Mr. Teixeira was the owner and operator of Vic’s Texaco Station, Maple Avenue, Barrington for the past 66 years. 

Vic was a member of Holy Angels Church and daily communicant of St. Luke Church. He was a member of the Barrington American Legion Post #8 and a former Barrington Civil Defense Director for 42 years. A sports enthusiast, he also enjoyed gardening. 

Vic was a weekly visitor at several East Bay nursing homes for the past 25 years. 

He is survived by two daughters, Mary C. Teixeira of Barrington and Dorothy A. Andreozzi of Barrington; a brother, Vincent Teixeira of Bristol; a grandson, Milos Mirkovic of East Providence and several beloved nieces and nephews.  

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 10, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
