The Barrington High School Athletic Hall of Fame will induct a new class of honorees during a special ceremony on April 13.

This year's class includes athletes Perry Barlow '03, Tom Barry ’77, Trina (Young) Barton ’94, Mark Conley ’80, Audrey (Couto) McClelland '96, Rich Paolino '63, and Mark Stamoulis ’80; the 1960 Football and 1962 Boys Basketball teams; Coaches Annmarie Gower and Lee Markowski; administrator Al Genetti; and contributor, David Hughes.

The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 13 at 5 p.m. (dinner is at 6:00 p.m.) at the Rhode Island Country Club, 150 Nayatt Road. Tickets to the event are on sale now for $50 and are limited.

“Like the first six BHS Athletic Hall of Fame classes, this is an extremely strong group which spans different generations, sports and roles,” said Kevin Ryan, chairperson of the Hall of Fame Committee. “The Boosters and the community look forward to officially inducting them and sharing the highlights of their specific achievements and dedication at the ceremony.”

Mr. Ryan added that the purpose of the Barrington Booster Club is to encourage, stimulate and support all interscholastic and intramural sports in the Barrington School System.

Nominations for the Barrington High School Athletic Hall of Fame were requested from the public this past summer and fall, and the Hall of Fame Committee reviewed the completed nomination forms and made its final selections in December.
