The St. Luke's School first-ever Lego robotics team has qualified for the state championship.

In December, the St. Luke’s School students participated in a regional day-long qualifying competition at Rocky Hill School. St. Luke's was one of the top-scoring teams, and, as a result, earned a spot in robotics state championship which will be held at Roger Williams University on Saturday, Jan. 19.

The St. Luke's team has been working hard since school started in August to prepare for this competition. Sponsored by a division of Lego, the team had to design, build, program, code and execute various tasks using a universal platform and robots built using Lego products.

St. Luke's School is competing the grades 6-8 division. The team is comprised completely of underclassmen.
