Sowams School's largest fund-raiser of the year — the Sowams Octoberfest — will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

This year's festival will feature many favorites from previous years such as a hayride, an obstacle course, bouncy houses, and face painting. Attendees will also enjoy dozens of other activities and games that are in their final planning stages. And don't forget, the Sowams Octoberfest "mystery bags" will be available for purchase. 

There will be class basket raffles — each basket has a theme — and an online auction. And there will be Sowams Octoberfest t-shirts for sale. 

This year, Octoberfest-goers can also expect a lot of food options!

Octoberfest serves as the largest fund-raiser of the school year for Sowams School. This event helps fund field trips, electronics, enrichment programs, new library books, family nights at the school, as well as maintenance of the school gardens and playground. 

The event is free and open to the public to attend. Sowams School is located at 364 Sowams Road. The event will be held rain or shine.
