The problem is that there are many people who will have to pay for something when they were not included in the discussion of the new school and were not allowed to vote in the matter of financing a new school.

Only a small favored group seemed to be heard at that incredibly outmoded financial town meeting. Half the town was not even there (due to a lack of inclusive space). This could have been solved by offering an informed vote to all residents in the normal way at the polls.

The amount of money that the school committee is now agreeing to save on the new middle school venture is small. Hopefully it will get bigger.

Shame on the town government as it appears it has a lack of respect for the inclusion of every citizen in Barrington when making decisions for the whole town, with what looks like a clear preference to some while excluding others. It also appears that the town government has very little respect for personal property and privacy in other matters.
