Gloria E. McCagney, 92, of Barrington

Gloria E. (Barnes) McCagney, of 6 Sunset Drive in Barrington, Rhode Island, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019, surrounded by members of her loving family. She was 92.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1926 to Milton T. and Florence G.(Carpenter) Barnes, she lived her entire life in Barrington.

Gloria worked for Citizens Bank & Trust Company for 20 years retiring in 1990. She was the loving sister of the late Wallace T. Barnes of Oscoda, Mich., Virginia Stephenson of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and John (Jack) Barnes of Lynchburg, Va. She was the mother of William E. McCagney of Warren, the late Susan A. Bissonnette of Cumberland and the late Richard J. Swanson of Riverside.

Gloria was the proud grandmother of 7 and had 8 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Barrington Women's Club. She served as a guide at the Daggett house in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
