Emidio A. Carusi, 83, died peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Judith A. (LaRocca) Carusi.

Mr. Carusi was a logistics engineer for GTE before retiring. He served proudly in the Rhode Island Air National Guard, 143rd Tactical Airlift Group for 21 years. He was a l953 graduate of Barrington High School and a 1976 graduate of Roger Williams College. 

Mr. Carusi was a communicant of Holy Angels Church were he served as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and CCD teacher for many years. In addition, Mr. Carusi was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Hickey Council #3623 and a member of the St. Luke’s Golf Club.

Besides his wife he leaves three sons, Edward P. Carusi of Bristol, Thomas P. Carusi and his wife Rebecca of New Bedford, Mass. and Christopher M. Carusi and his wife Pauline of Independence, Va., six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His funeral with military honors was held from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, with a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Avenue, Barrington, RI. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
