Driver suffers minor injuries

The Barrington Fire Department and Police Department responded to an accident on Route 114 on Monday afternoon, May 7.

It appears a vehicle traveled across both lanes of the busy roadway, smashed over a guardrail and careened into Hundred Acre Cove. The driver was able to get out of the car.

Rescue personnel later transported the motorist to the hospital for minor injuries. It was not clear what caused the accident.
