Residents and town officials participated in the first-ever Barrington Day of Caring — a community event where people helped improve the lives of their neighbors by doing yard work, cleaning up the coastline and pitching in with home improvements.
The Barrington Day of Caring is a new initiative of the Barrington Community Support Coalition (B.C.S.C.) that comprises representatives of houses of worship, volunteer agencies, the Barrington Business Association, town and school departments, EMS, fire and police.
After volunteers met at the town hall, they spread out across town to the various work sites.
