The Barrington High School boys soccer team advanced to the Division I quarterfinals after defeating Central High School 3-1 in a preliminary playoff game on Wednesday night, Nov. 1.

The Eagles scored twice in the first half and added an insurance goal in the second half against the Knights. Harry Browne, Nicholas Perugini and Aiden Doyle each scored for the Eagles, while Deven Connors, Alex Senich and Owen Gordon tallied assists. Emmanuel Despine finished the game with four saves in net for Barrington.

The Eagles will play against South Kingstown in the quarterfinals. The fifth-seeded Eagles will travel to South Kingstown to face the fourth-seeded Rebels. The game begins at 7 p.m., and will be played at Curtis Corner Middle School. 

Barrington finished the regular season with a record of 7-3-4 in Division I, while South Kingstown finished just ahead of the Eagles with an 8-3-3 record.
