All are invited as Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) kicks off its Winter Holiday Exhibit with “Art ‘til Midnight,” a special, free, public event at IMAGO Gallery, 36 Market Street, from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, November 23.

IFA artists will lead those interested in creating collaborative works of art. Enjoy the fun along with musical entertainment by guitarist Julio Amaro, holiday treats and a 10% discount on art purchases made during the evening. Amaro will perform from an eclectic repertoire that includes classic guitar, jazz, pop, folk, Latin and rock selections from 8:30 – 11:30 p.m.

The art works included in the exhibit represent a wide array of media by IFA artists and community members including painting, mixed media, drawing, photography, ceramics and collage. Purchases throughout the exhibit are “pay and carry” to accommodate holiday gift-giving.

Following “Art ‘til Midnight,” the exhibit will continue through December 30 during regular gallery hours: Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday noon - 8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
