In the 2nd Annual Professor Anthony J. Santoro Business Law Lecture Series, RWU Law presents “From Lawyer to Fishmonger – What’s the Catch?” Guest speaker Jan R. Schlichtmann, Esq. will talk about his goal of opening an Oceanic Research and Innovation Center at the site of the former Somerset Station power plant, located in Somerset, Mass., at the top of Mount Hope Bay.
Schlichtmann’s career has focused on consumer protection. His most famous case about contaminated drinking water causing leukemia in Woburn, Mass., children was depicted in the film “A Civil Action,” in which he is played by John Travolta.
