The Parenting Support Group will meet on Sunday, April 21st at 6:00 PM in the Tildsley building at St. Michael’s Church, 399 Hope Street. This is an opportunity for parents of preschool and school-age children to discuss with other parents and a trained mental health professional the everyday challenges they encounter in raising children today. These might include helping to build self-esteem in children, talking about feelings, behavior issues, the special needs child and any other topic of interests to parents. The group is open to all parents, single and partnered, traditional and non-traditional, and parents in blended families. There is no charge for the group but participants are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food or personal care items for the Bristol Good Neighbors pantry. Childcare is available, but parents planning to bring children, must call Jennifer DeWolf (401)935-3359 by Friday April 19 to let her know how many children will be attending and their ages.
