Build a bamboo garden arch with the Blithewold gardens crew

Posted

This Friday, April 5, learn how to build your own bamboo structure to support climbing plants in the home garden! In this workshop, you will harvest, clean, and prepare bamboo from the Blithewold Bamboo Grove, and everyone will construct their own arch to bring home. The workshop will be led by horticulturist Julia Callahan with assistance from the horticulture gardens crew. The arches will resemble a smaller version of the ones seen in the Blithewold Cutting Gardens. Participants may want to bring their own gloves to use when handling the bamboo. Plan accordingly for transportation of arch.
